Who Hughes Health Is Best For (And When You're Not the Right Fit)

Not Everyone Is a Good Fit for Our Movement-Based Clinic in Westerville

And that's intentional. Hughes Health isn't designed for everybody. But we tailor care for every body.

The best outcomes happen when expectations, goals, and approach are aligned by both the patient and the healthcare provider. That’s why we’re transparent about who tends to do very well with our care and who may not.

This isn’t about exclusivity. It’s about honesty, efficiency, and the effective results you were searching for.

Many people arrive frustrated, confused, and unsure why their body keeps breaking down despite “doing all the right things.” Our role is to provide clarity and not just another treatment.

Who Hughes Health Is Best For
But you deserve treatment like one.

You’re a Good Fit at Hughes Health If:

  1. You are frustrated with pain and limitations that keeps coming back.

  • Most of our patients have already tried physical therapy, chiropractic care, and injections.

  • Some have already had surgery that didn't yield the results promised.

If your pain temporarily improves but keeps returning, that's a sign of unresolved movement compensation and not a lack of effort.

  1. You want to understand why your body keeps reacting and not settle for:

  • "It's just wear and tear."

  • "Your imaging looks fine."

  • "That's normal for your age."

You want an explanation that actually makes sense and not more excuses.

  1. You value efficiency and clarity.

  • Our patients are often busy professionals, business owners, and even other doctors who value time.

  • Our process is designed with you for you to reduce wasted time and redundancy.

We spend time understanding you first and identifying the root causes of your problems because smart planning prevents months (or years) of ineffective care.

  1. You are willing to actively participate in your recovery.

  • We prioritize working with patients, not on them.

  • Our treatments offered in office are meant to work with the movement strategies performed outside the office.

  • Small, daily consistent changes boosts outcome timeline and longevity.

We don't expect perfection, but we do require engagement.

  1. You want solutions beyond the traditional insurance coverage and symptom chasing.

  • Our patients understand that their health is an investment and not a transaction.

  • We provide consistent, one-on-one care with the doctor at each visit, allowing for a deeper understanding of your movement, progress, and needs.

  • While we do not accept insurance, some patients choose to use out-of-network benefits depending on their individual policy.

You May Not Be a Good Fit If:

  1. You want a quick fix without involvement.

If you're hoping for:

  • a single adjustment

  • a simple list of stretches and exercises

  • a temporary pain "reset" for a recent flare-up

... without addressing movement habits, our expectations may not align.

We focus on durable change, not momentary relief just for pain to show-up again later.

  1. You aren’t ready to set aside time to change habits.

Movement patterns develop over years so it's not realistic to change your body in only 2 weeks. Plans are created around your body's needs as well as your time so care is maintainable and achievable. If you're not ready to explore why your body moves the way it does, or how the small changes recommended reduces your body's stress, this approach may feel frustrating.

  1. You're only looking for what insurance covers directly.

If your primary requirement is insurance paying for your treatments, then we are not the best option for you. Our model is designed around time, assessment depth, flexibility, and individualized planning.

Insurance rarely supports this for in-network providers, so we remain outside of their contracts in order to work best for you.

Why Our Selectiveness Matters

You will get out of pain. You will get back to what you couldn't do before treatment started. However, the long-term effectiveness depends on our alignment.

When we're on the same page as a team, outcomes last, frustration fades away, time and money isn't wasted, and confidence soars.

Patients who understand the process and engage with care consistently achieve the best outcomes. They put in the daily small changes in between scheduled appointments so we as a team can continue rebuilding your movement assessments.

This clarity helps prevent wasted time for you and for us.
